Hi everyone,

I know that a violin bridge properly carved weight is something around 1.9-2.1 grams. But I am curious about cello bridges. What is the average weight of a cello bridge? (for a more or less standard 90 mm bridge)

Does the style of the bridge (french or belgian) have influence?

You can peruse many cello bridge weights at:

https://www.violinbridges.co.uk/

I'm pretty sure that a subscription is required; the fee is very modest.  I did subscribe and am glad that I did.

The site is great for detailed measurements of almost every area of the bridge, and the pictures are also helpful in considering carving details, "final touches," etc.
