fingerboard edge

I'm with Conor and Bruce on this. Make your string spacing 16-16.5 and shift them toward the g side (from the photo It looks like they are shifted to the e side too much). Normally one sets them in the center of the nut and the relative thickness of the g vs the e puts the g string closer to the edge. You could do a similar shift on the bridge as well.

So it's good to have a bit more space on the e side (via offset towards the g)?

Many times "yes".  Otherwise, it's very hard on the fingers.
