jamescowell
Hi, I can not decide what to buy, new or old violin. The new violins very nice and the old rare and valuable. I found these new violins: link and old violin: link Please help to me. Thank you very much!
Herman West
Well, the old violin you linked on eBay is neither rare nor valuable, sorry.
Rue
There are pros and cons to both options. At the lower price ranges see if you can try out a whole bunch...and find one you like the sound of. If you have to buy on-line...stick to an established manufacturer (like Eastman) and buy from a good shop that will set it up properly. Jeff Jetson
Hello James, is there any violin shops within a couple hour drive of your residence ? There are many people on this website with shops all around the world that would be glad to make a recommendation if we know what area you are from. Some shops might be willing to rent you a violin if you want ted to try that route.
Will L
James, Your question is confusing considering the options you have posted. Tell us more about your situation.
martin swan
I find the question particularly confusing since your first link is to "Cremonae Antique Instrument Auctions". I have no idea who "Cremonae" are - the "About Us' page helpfully explains that this is an international auction portal - that's it. No names, no address, not even a country ... The first page at least seems to be exclusively Schoenbach crap described as Italian. Perhaps you can offer some more information?
