Suzuki Teacher Auditions

I am curious of the experience any of these members may have had with Suzuki auditions and training.  I've toyed with the idea, but there really isn't that much information about it online, aside what they have on their website.  I know I have to record myself playing one of the pieces they list and submit it, but is it really that simple?  If I can play the piece(s), is it pretty much a guarantee I'll pass?  Who is it that judges-fellow teachers, Suzuki board members, judge panels, etc...?  I have asked them a few questions, but they are very very vague and just basically say "submit it and if you don't pass you can pay more and retry".  There isn't much discussion about it on their website- I've looked, and I've wondered if there's not much discussion because that's intentional.

Has anyone else had experience with this?  I'm scared about paying money for something so secretive!

Thanks for your insight!

Thank you.  I haven't made up my mind yet.  I have a thriving studio but I am also always looking for ways to sharpen my teaching.  There always seems to be discussions about the Suzuki method but not a lot of clear information about the auditions for the teacher training.  It looks like that is because there isn't much information about them- play the piece and get an answer.  Thank you both for your answers!
