Museo del Violino Zoom Images

Hah, I've just been trying to figure out that guitar.  Looks like it should have a 750 scale, or twice a viola, but they say it is 742.  They don't say what it is strung up as.  eadgb, adgbe, dgcfa, gcfad?  The photo shows even strings on the two lowers.  My photo shows octave strings.  Nice.

I really love getting a close look at the Rugeri.  The shape of the bouts and the ffs together make a nice looking model IMO.  And the 4-piece back!  Nice, narrow flame.

There are a few standard tunings for Baroque guitar; various versions of aa/dd/gg/bb/ee.   The Saboniari guitar appears to be strung in the tuning where the two lowest courses are in octaves, so Aa/Dd/gg/bb/ee.  The guitar sounds great, by they way... http://www.thestrad.com/cpt-latests/rolf-lislevand-performs-the-sabionari-guitar-of-stradivarius/?utm_source=Adestra&utm_medium=email

Just to confirm my critical attitude towards the MdV, the color accuracy of the photos is not optimal <_< , but maybe it's just my screen..... :)

However an excellent initiative they were talking about for some time, finally they have made available to the public.
