oistrakh93
Violin branded Nicolas Chappuy on the back. Bearing multiple repair labels, one saying it was re graduated by Asa Warren White in Boston.. Any thoughts on ID?
jacobsaunders
I'm afraid your pictures are a little unhelpful. We did have a long thread on Chappuy a while back though: http://www.maestronet.com/forum/index.php?/topic/330125-chappuy/?hl=chappuy

Blank face
Reading that topic might give one the mistaken impression that Chappuy is argot for a dust-up. The linked thread just sheds some light at the philosophical background , but to see some more practical information, photos etc. i would prefer this: http://www.maestronet.com/forum/index.php?/topic/331657-fran%C3%A7ois-m%C3%A9dard-%C2%BF/page-2 where different Chappuys are pictured including some reasons why they can be so different. The OP looks more like from Saxony, but I can be wrong. Of course some more photos showing front. back, scroll, ribs and brand from a better perspective would be helpful
