Kallie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Old-Violin-Wallace-Buckman-1914-For-Restoration-With-Case-/301552214872 "All it needs is a glue" "violin that is actually in great condition, believe it or not!"
Kev Chanot Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 I think the description of its condition is blown out of all proportion !!
actonern Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 LOL... how does something become so comprehensively unglued? Immersion? If so, wouldn't the varnish show it too?
Kallie Posted March 5, 2015 Author Report Posted March 5, 2015 Someone must've taken it apart for one reason or another. I doubt this can be from the normal shoulder wear.
Dwight Brown Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 It might be cool to do an exploded view and then sell it for $$$$$$$! http://theevolutionstore.com/store/beauchene-skull/ DLB
David in NC Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Probably came out of an old hot unvented attic.
Kev Chanot Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Dwight, didn't a French artist named "Arman" make violin themed sculptures, some featuring "exploded" views?
Violadamore Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 "Believe it or not", humidity can do this. I note what looks like mold all over the case exterior. Probably came from somewhere right on the coast. Nice kit, though it looks to be a 3/4. If they had it for a rational price, like $50, I'd have made it disappear by now . Anybody heard of Wallace Buckman?
Michael_Molnar Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 It needs just a little attention from VdA.
mrfiddle Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Are the corner blocks huge or is it just the perspective?
