apartmentluthier Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Curious to know if anyone has tried this. Amazing solvent dissolves waterbased glues! A labor-saving way to strip old dried hide glue, Titebond® or white glue from neck joint surfaces, fingerboards and bridges before regluing. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Glues,_adhesives/Wood_glue/De-Glue_Goo.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=286275
Berl Mendenhall Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I got a email from Stew-Mac about this stuff today. I wonder what it does to varnish or bare wood? It might be handy for removing finger boards if it's safe.
franciscus Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 This thing is based on vinegar, so I think that it is intended primarily for the fight against PVAc glues.
Michael_Molnar Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If it gets rid of glue ghosts, we can call it the Ghost Buster.
