Kjlawrence
This violin looks very narrow yet has a "normal" length. I am guessing this was built as a violin piccolo? http://tarisio.com/pages/auction/auction_item.php?csid=2197962752&cpid=3225305088&sCategory_ID=
duane88
modelo persona. not a piccolo. That would require a shorter string length. Just a pleasant variant of normal.
Kjlawrence
Defintely agree it is a variant! Would have to play it to see if it is pleasant. I am used to wild shapes and sizes of violas but, in my experience (limited), the variability among violin shape and size is fairly tight. I haven't held it for a while, but i used to get to see the Gaspar violin that Ricci played on the Joys of Cremona album. Just a hair north of 368mm. It's not uncommon to see a delGesu at 350mm. Keep looking. There is plenty of variability.
