MANFIO Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 After making just violas for 8 years, I just finished a violin inspired in Guarneri del Gesù.

Rue Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Beautiful. I must say, you take the best violin/viola photos ever. I always look forward to and enjoy seeing the new ones.
MANFIO Posted May 19, 2013 Author Report Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks! Rue, I use a SONY NEX3 camera with two desk lamps. It is simple.
MANFIO Posted May 26, 2013 Author Report Posted May 26, 2013 Thanks! Just finished a new 40.8 cm. viola, "Barcarolle", I don't know how to post the photo with the URL here, something has changed or here or in IPERNITY. http://www.ipernity.com/doc/91953/16790253/sizes/1600
Violadamore Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 Welcome back. The violin is wonderfully awesome, too Hoping to hear more about the scrumptious varnish.
WalterOB Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 You always seem to have very similar (interesting) cuts of maple. Do you work from a stockpile or are you just able to source it?
MANFIO Posted June 2, 2013 Author Report Posted June 2, 2013 Thanks! I work from stockpile and I am always buying wood.
MANFIO Posted June 12, 2013 Author Report Posted June 12, 2013 Well, it took me sometime to realize that I could not find the URL in my IPERNITY photo page because they want me to pay for that now.... Well, eventually I discovered that we can import photos from FACEBOOK to PHOTOBUCKET, quite easily, so here the photos of the 40.8 cm. (16 inche) viola "Barcarolle": http://s268.photobucket.com/user/manfio/library/Facebook/VIOLA%20Barcarolle%20408%20cm%2016%20inche?sort=3&page=1 And here a baroque viola "La Folia": http://s268.photobucket.com/user/manfio/library/Facebook/BAROQUE%20VIOLA%20LA%20FOLIA%20408%20cm%2016?sort=3&page=1 The player who comissioned the baroque viola came from South Africa to pick it and, eventually, got the modern viola "Barcarolle" too and now both instruments are in South Africa. I have instruments in 4 Continents now!
