A collegue of mine is conducting a listening test using violin sound samples convolved with concert hall impulse responses to investigate the perception of intimacy in concert halls. The test takes about 10 mins and the results will be revealed when there are more than 50 responses. The response count is now 45, so not many responses are needed to fulfil the requirement.

I may post the results and the explanation behind it when it is updated on that site.

I think we will have to wait a while to get the background information on the test. I think the details may enter a proceedigns article for a coming conference, so when that is written it will appear on the same site, either before the conference if the conference allows, or after it has been. I will try to remember to post a link when it appears.

Wrong test. Not the same sound samples. Maybe your first link wasn't what you thought it was.

The first link has changed content. It lead initially to the test you see with the results in post #6. So I have changed the first link. Thanks for notifying!

Not much was gotten out of that. I am sorry about all the acoustic parameters given with no explanation there. But reverberance and loudness (room Gain G), and clarity (C80) should be something most have an impression of what is.

EDT is the early decay time, the reverberation time of the very first part of the decaying soundfield after an impulse.
