I'm confused

Recommended Posts

This seller has listed a Stainer copy violin with a bow stamped L. Morizot. It just sold for $1,025.

The same seller has the same instrument and bow listed for 7 more days for a starting bid of $2990.

Is this some sort of magic?

The first time around it didn't sell - there was a reserve price which wasn't met.

Second time around it's for sale without a reserve, presumably the starting price is the lowest price the seller will accept.

It would appear that it includes some Hills varnish cleaner, not a Hill certificate.

Very optimistic price ....!

Interesting cursive Morizot stamp, I wonder how it would look with Chinese characters.

Look like " S " to me, not any Chinese character. If you say it look like Chinese,

then it appears like a Chinese " Horse" then only partially .
