Google "Magic Rosin" and witness this craze for yourself. The company has launched a sales campaign to give away their product for the cost of S+H (about the same price for a block of Super Sensitive 912). The unsolicited reveiws that I have found on this rosin are all "over the top" favorable raves for this product. I placed an order today, I couldn't avoid or ignore these raves any more. If you currently offer rosin for sale, maybe this should be your next new offering. Are there any testimonials here, or maybe you have already heard the buzz about this product? Scott

I felt what they were promising such ridiculously good things that I didn't even bother trying it, I didn't think they were very credible. But let us know your experiences!

I'm happy with just about any decent rosin, so I liked it OK. I'll have to play it a lot more under more demanding circumstances before I decide whether I prefer it or not, but it's at least acceptable. As usual, a matter of individual preference.

captainhook Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I got a cake (very small) recently but have only tried it once. I think I got too much on the bow and it seemed too grabby. I wiped some off and it seems OK now and hasn't had any more rosin. I normally rosin about once a month and have used Pirastro Gold, with which I am well satisfied, for several years. Still haven't made a dent in that cake. In summary, I haven't used enough to really judge, but I think it may be similar to the PG in most respects.

There are special bonuses for larger referral networks and other ways you can make money recommending Magic Rosin." Don't know, it just sounds a little fishy. Probably won't even bother to try it, based on prior experience with perceived fishiness, versus waste of time.

But I switched from Hindersine to Andreas and the volume of sound clearly increased, also the adherence to the string was better. The difference in price was also significant, but how many rosin cakes would you use in a life?

Sofia Leo Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 I've tried the Magic Rosin and I like it more than the others that I've tried, but being a beginner I'm not sure how much weight my opinion carries The sound on my cheap Chinese violin is better than with Jade or Hidersine with hardly any dust, so I'll stick with it for now. Certainly can't beat the price!

nesplin Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Ok, I play the cello and recently the switch from Kolstein to Larica gold v bass rosin seemed to make a pretty noticable difference, at least to me. For what that is worth.

I wonder if the product offer of shipping is just a good way of getting samples out to the public, and then once enough demand is created, the product will enter the market at some price based on the 'supply and demand curve'.
