I'm trying to make a copy this violin, but I only have the Strad poster, without top and back archings and thickness.

Does anyone have any pics to give me an idea of how it goes?

thank you

You should get a hold of a copy of the book on Guarneri del Gesù that came out after the 1994 exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. It's not cheap, two volume set with full size photographs, measurements, arching curves, histories and more. The "David" is in this book. Published by Peter Biddulph.

If it is not going to be an exact copy, does it really matter what arching the original D-H del Gesooo' (Chiesa pronounciation) has?

In fact i'm not trying to make an exact copy, but I prefer to start with real data and then modify them with my own mistakes.

I understand, but would archings from some other del Gesus not serve as well?
