Alberto R. Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I'm trying to make a copy this violin, but I only have the Strad poster, without top and back archings and thickness. Does anyone have any pics to give me an idea of how it goes? thank you

It's not cheap, two volume set with full size photographs, measurements, arching curves, histories and more. The "David" is in this book. Published by Peter Biddulph. Book link Bruce

In fact i'm not trying to make an exact copy, but I prefer to start with real data and then modify them with my own mistakes.
Janito Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 In fact i'm not trying to make an exact copy, but I prefer to start with real data and then modify them with my own mistakes. I understand, but would archings from some other del Gesus not serve as well?
