Melvin Goldsmith
She's been with us two weeks now and is a 9.5 weeks old Jack Russell from a working litter. Full of beans but a real nice personable little character. She's doing a lot of sleeping and growing but in between likes to re arrange my off cuts and shavings. She's taken a liking to being in the workshop and I'm rather happy with that.

skiingfiddler
Our neighbor has a Jack Russell. Judging from the amount of activity the dog evokes, a Jack Russell is a very good example of a working dog, that is, generating work for the owner in finding outlets for all the dog's energy. It's a very endearing dog. Have fun.
rudall
I can see some heavy antiquing in your future output.

Hi Skiingfiddler...Hehe!..Yes that's a very well observed description of a Jack Russell. ..there is a saying that you can never tire these dogs out because they don't get tired, they just get fitter!....Thanks for your good wishes. Dwight Brown
His tail kind of looks like scroll. Did you give her a violin name? My picture is with my cat Willy, he is an opera singer - Klingon Opera! Dwight

martina hawe
Hi Melvin very sweet!!! Looks like she´s having a good time chewing on woodshavings. Is she really tiny or is it a monster-shaving in the 3rd picture? Enjoy the walks! Martina
Doug Rice
Melvin, Good for you. Beware the attraction of wood containing hide glue (speaking from experience.) Doug

Once, ignorently I left knife blades reachable, and he played with them, cuttings were minor but it was good learning lesson. No more shop visiting so far.

Pebbles
Always good to see a fellow Luthier canine Dust to get into, shavings to chew on, and a comfy bed to snooze on. Woof!
Maestrolover
What a gorgeous puppy, she looks a real character, that tail will have to inspire some scrolls! robedney
How's his pitch? Duets might be fun. Seriously, nothing beats a dog. We've a new puppy (to us) from a shelter, just under a year black lab mix. He's the most vocal dog I've ever had, and I suspect he could sing (if you don't think dogs can sing -- or talk -- just search Youtube for singing/talking dog). Michael_Molnar
I hear the Jack Russells are very active. I see that this one is chewing on what's left of Mel's violin. Mike
