That is certainly odd! Apparently the seller is telling the truth when he says he doesn't know anything about this item. Neither do I, but indeed I can tell when a rosin label has been pasted on. I would sure like to know the history of this obviously well used violin, and will check back to see if anyone knows more about it.

I wonder if "Paganini Finest Solo Violin Rosin" is still sold? Fun.

Yes, I would think so, R ~

I'm just wondering if, out of kindness, some one should explain this to the seller - that it is the rosin that is being referred to on the label, not the violin.

It must be very difficult to sell anything the least bit esoteric (including violins) on eBay - one would have to be a renaissance person to know so much about everything.
