Downloading discussion threads as Word documents

I have been downloading MN discussion threads recently as Word documents.

It was only today, when I went to check one of these, that I found that the original Posters' names have not been saved.

This is a major problem because knowing who the poster is/was plays a considerable part in establishing credibility of the information archived.

Is there anything that can be done to improve this situation?

Go to the [options] at the top and select [print this topic], then got to your browser and click on [edit] then [select all] then [copy]. Now go to your word processor program program and open a it. Got to [file] and select [paste]. Next name the file [save as] and you're done.

-Option

-Download this topic

-Download Microsoft Word version

Has there been any update on this?   Do most people just use copy / paste into a Word document?

I copy and paste. Sometimes I print it to file as a pdf.

I have not been able to download a thread in its entirety for some years now. 

Copy-paste across pages is so '20th Century'...and a pain in the butt.

Are you able to print-to-file a whole thread as a single  operation without multiple cut-pastes?

No, but I can stitch pdf's.
