I used Viva la Musica rests for years, however I found that the foam padding degraded rather quickly. They were the only rest I really found comfortable, but because of the foam, I was replacing either the foam or the whole rest every 6 months or so. I ended up making my own shoulder rest (that I have posted here in the past) using the accessories from an early VLM rest that was still using the metal legs. It seems the current violin rests now use plastic accessories.

I have no experience with the Diamond series - it looks nice. I do wonder about the padding, though.
