Omobono
I thought about reviving one of the existing threads that mentions this site but most concern either on specific topics or filled with quite a bit of stuff about the previous controversy relating to this sheet music download site. http://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page I thought it best to just mention that the site has re-opened for those who previously used it or for those who may not be aware of its previous existence. I notice there are some changes and disclaimers regarding downloading which it may be worth noting well. More recently included works are listed but not yet available (due partly to confirmation of copyright clearance?) Some other interesting works are only available in score or transcription format rather than downloadable parts. However having said that, it's worth a look. sonnichs
Thanks for the reminder-Happy to have it back! For those unfamiliar with this site, it holds a lot of obscure string music, including many duets and trios. Fritz
Rokovak
Fantastic site. Thank you!
outside
Thanks Omobono, just printed out the music and the violin score for a piece that my daughter has been desiring.
Bill Merkel
Besides IMSLP, still the best source, if you aren't aware of it the NY Phil has archives of its music that includes bowings and fingerings. You can look up your favorite bugaboo and see how the pros do it... https://archives.nyphil.org/index.php/artifact/ab81a6e7-f5c0-45fb-a768-70b5366f8f7a-0.1/fullview#page/1/mode/2up

Andrew Victor
I've been using (and supporting) IMSLP.org for years. Almost all the music I play these days is downloaded from there, both for keeping an old man sight reading and in the chamber orchestra I've played in for the past 10 years. And BILL - thanks - that's a great link!
matesic
At least it won't take me long to search. NYPhil lists 24 string quartet scores while IMSLP has 3,312.
Bill Merkel
^They don't have cars or clothing either. It's the place for symphony orchestra parts marked up by the NY Phil
Bo Pontoppidan
Unfortunately you cannot download the marked parts from NY Phil - you have to copy the bowings by hand. It is a very useful source none the less.
Bill Merkel
Here's another source of music, served up from Ukraine, I think. http://khml.org
