Fellow Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 A $100k violin was lost for a short time in a subway of NYC, New York Times, reported on Juky 5,2007. Interesting story.
Steve_W Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Here's the link to the article: Violin taken in subway is reunited with owner. What a nightmare; nice to see the violin reunited with its owner! -Steve
Dean_Lapinel Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 The thief probably thought it was a viola?
Brad Dorsey Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 "The thief probably thought it was a viola?" A customer of mine had her John Juzek Master Art viola stolen. The thief later abandoned it, perhaps thinking that he or she could sell a violin -- but a viola would be worthless. It sounds like a viola joke, but it's a true story.
Fellow Posted July 6, 2007 Author Report Posted July 6, 2007 Where is the bow? The poor guy forgot his bow (photo opportunity is more important)
