lupe0824
I recently came across a web site: "http://www.trebleviolin.com">http://www.trebleviolin.com But is there a major difference than a regular violin?
natnot
It's one of the instruments in the violin octet, developed in the 20th century, and is tuned an octave higher than a standard violin. Fellow
Hi, One big problem: Who are going to write the music? Who are going to listen? An entirely different frontier of music. Er-Hu (Chinese 2-strings violin , played like a Cello) music is quite different from Western music. I don't know how exactly how it works. It uses a bow, pegs and strings, rosin. like cello.... etc. If someone writes a Er-hu music in Western way, I think I do not have trouble to play it. Who is going to do that? a problem ,just like treble-violin?

Andrew Victor
It seems to me that the music already exists. This would just make it easier to play high music 8 positions lower - and perhaps with a somewhat different sound. Indeed, who could tolerate listening to music that is higher than a conventional violin can already play? Andy
