fidleir
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A%3AIT&rd=1 I'm currently interested in this violin however the date stated seems at odds with this fiddle .These are French workshop violins I think and all are usually dated 1910.Anybody any ideas.Ps I emailed the seller and he assures me the date is 1926
Brad Dorsey
Pietro Vareni is a trade name -- not a real maker. Years ago I had a violin with this name in it; I think it was dated around 1910. I was an ordinary German trade violin. This Ebay violin that you are looking at looks different, but I couldn't say what it is.

Regis
Disgarding the label, it is not "yet" overpriced for its looks (a few repaired top cracks).
