Regis
I've seen a good many violin bridges including a lot of new(to me) ones here on Maestronet. Here is one I've never seen and am curious if anyone can identify. Fine Bridge I looked and some of the great photo's like the nice bridge collection that Jeffery posted. None lke this. Thanks Regis
dogmageek
Is this a test? It looks unremarkable, seems to be a fractional overcarved unit. If I was a joker I'd say it looks Romulan or Klingon. I just did. :-] -dogma
T_Rocca
Sorry but in my opinion that it is an amature work, yes it is over carved and not a very good bridge to start with with an ebony inlay protector
HongDa
I especially like the subtle champher on the e-string side. It looks like it was done with a gouge. Is it a violin bridge? Judging from the size of the string grooves it's for a cello. How big IS that quarter?

Takumi
Hey, where can I get that bridge?! The one with the patented design.
tim2
It will be available soon at my online store. Keep an eye on my website and also here to find out when the store will be open. The one shown has an ebony insert, but I'll also have it available with a synthetic insert that is black like ebony for a little less money. There will be bridges and other things that I've already shown here as well as some bridges and other related products that have never been seen for sale in the store as well. apartmentluthier
Stop teasing us Tim. When can we get some?
tim2
Maybe a little reminder that I'm still around - but certainly not meant to be a tease.. :-} Hopefully when everything's ready, some of the same people I've already interracted with will still be around and have an interest. The online store has taken a while since rather than use a ready-made package, I decided to write all the code myself, line-by-line-by-line-by-line..... as if I really had time for that sort of thing. Made it even simpler than it was last time I mentioned it here by removing all those buttons that wouldn't allow for using the browser "back" buttons without problems. Soon.... tim2
We obviously share a common interest. I think you're doing a great job collecting bridges and information about them. I suppose bridges have been a matter of curiosity for a long time. I've shown only a handful of the various designs I've come up with. Designing a new style bridge is one thing and then coming up with a design that can be marketed to a large enough audience to make it worthwhile to produce on a large scale is another issue. And then of course actually getting it out to the public with long term goals in mind is yet another. Hey - keep up the good work!
