MANFIO
I've just received an e.mail from Tarisio, announcing their next auction, with many interesting violins. I would like to be there and give a look. Among the instruments, a viola by our friend Maestroneter Jacob.
Regis
Darn, and I thought I was the only one that knew! And look at that back on #
MANFIO
Hi Regis, interesting wood! If I'm not wrong, Martini gave up violin making in favor of a more profitable craft: making toys (there were no Chinese toys that time...). T_Rocca
I'm going to the Christie's before that, anyone going?
Bergonzi_Boy
Take a look at Lot 327. Tarisio clearly had a sense of homour when they described that particular violin I haven't looked through everything yet, but so far my pick of the auction would be lot 346 - the 1729 Pancratius Reber. I haven't seen a German violin that good for quite a while.
canamroadracer
T-Rocca, I am hoping to make it to both. Looking for the SNHVAGT bus schedule now! Maybe we can pull togeter a few M-Neters, anyone else going?
rarecellos
It would be interesting to see these auctions. Is the weather in NY going to be nice?
