DelDuca
Michael, am I wrong or do you have just as much fun sharing your knowledge as practicing the craft? I have this suspiscion that you may be an exceptional teacher masquerading as just another gifted luthier.
Michael Darnton
Yes, that's true: I do enjoy helping people with this stuff. It meshes with a lot of my interests, including writing and the stuff that got me into the newspaper business initially. I think there will be more workshops, as well. DelDuca
Speaking of writing; Michael,in the two years that I have been absent from this forum have your thoughts about your own book project changed?
Regis
Michael ....I guess I should take this as a que.... Michael held a great small group workshop about 6 weeks ago and we probably can persuade him again. When setting it up, I recieved a couple inquiries about the UK and then about Canada. Haven't gotten any more e-mail on these though. I believe we're shooting for another next winter in warm climate (wasn't the best of weather in Florida this February). If there is interest, please let Michael or myself know and we'll work on organizing. Regis
DelDuca
I, for one, am interested. My special area of study lately is set-up. I would really love to learn how to efficiently interpret and translate the plucked open string sound into optimal adjustment. What do you think? I arrive at good results, but only through trial and error hunches.
Michael Darnton
Setup and adjustments are my favorite topics. But teaching them is one of those things where you really "have to be there".
AMORI
Let me know when the next seminar happens well in advance please, I have to travel 10,000 miles to be there. I need to know a LOT more about setup too.
