The auction was a joke. I did not intend for anyone to buy the violin or the artwork or the ashes or anything else. I sent links to the auction to some friends and customers and they started bidding. Then with one day left one guy bid $1,000,000! You can check the bidder's list and see who it was. I knew that things had gone way out of control, so with 15 minutes left, I tried to cancel the auction and found I couldn't! All I could do was cancel the individual bids. I cancelled them as fast as I could, but new bids started coming in as fast as I could cancel the old ones. Then my computer shut down for a short power nap and the auction ended. Nobody wound up buying the violin or the ashes.

I cannot say here that I will be relisting it soon-for real, as a piece of "folk art".

Hi Jesse,

You mean to tell me that somebody bidded $15,000 for the violin, that somebody had no money to back it up (his bid)? ( Is this legal? and he/she is joking? It certainly mess up the market ) /yuen/

Hey Jesse

Where do you get all these violins for sell? Your violins or you sell them for other people, like consignment sales ?. ( Trade secrete, I know?)

It is interesting to look at them. Wish you a lot of lucks and successes. ?yuen/
