Ron MacDonald
I've recently come across a reasonably well made violin bearing the label: "Made by Adolph Krug, Detroit, 1909" (The date is not clear). None of my reference books lists this maker. Is anything known of him? Ron
Regis
Baxter shows him as a maker in 1887-1887 in Detroit. Then shows Henry in Arizona in the 1970-1980 time frame.
magicfingers
I have a Nicolas Vuillaume that bears this maker's repair label dated 1898... He must have been busy around the turn of the 19th century as this would coincide with Baxter.. Regards, Lonnie...
banjorick
I just bought a violin made by J. Adolph Krug 1904 Detroit. Does anyone know where I can get more information on this violin?
fiddlerone
In response to Krug query. I have a J. Adolph Krug 17" viola made in Detroit in 1894. Were you able to find out anything about this maker Ron? This viola is for sale. Rich
