I believe it is a fake, at my first sight of the photo but I did not want to say it. (not a qualified person, like me). My $600-find has the exact same mess-up around the bridge area, look like damage, but not, artifical I guess.? So,I think that way. Label, most deceiving thing on earth. In hope of increasing its value, someone put one in, or taking one out, for same purpose. I have a violin with two labels ,one on top of the other. Who can figure this out? This wise guy did not bother to remove the old one? Everyone asked me what was underneath?
