Call or check out the websites for Emory university music and arts events and Georgia State Univ. music events. They usually have free recitals and performances 2-3 times a week, and some paid performances as well. This weekend at Emory, Vega strings will be playing a concert. I just came back from a pre-concert recital and they sound wonderful. Emory also has a museum and some free museum events. I have only been playing the violin for a couple of months, so I am not much for help with violin shops, but have a look in the yellow pages. I am sure there are some good ones.
