SunMusicStrings
Dear Collective Wisdom: We purchased a studio, and have a policy paper online. If you have time, we would appreciate your input on this paper, if you feel it is appropriate to its purpose and consistent with Suzuki philosophy. Note that policies regarding fee schedules, payments, etc., are on a separate handout, as we do not wish to publish them on the net. http://www.geocities.com/sunmusicstrings/policies.html Please contact us privately at sunmusicstrings@yahoo.com Thanks, EM
Kabal
Dear Elle, I teach, and have lot's of ideas. I would be glad to help you. Of course, I would like to know who I am responding to. Connie Sunday is apparently dead. I announced this on my site, and I was very humbled when I found out this wasnt true. It would seem that your site has a lot in common with the Connie site. Let's face it, they are the same site. My tears go out to Ms. Sundays family, it must have been a shock to see somebody so young pass away. Rest in peace Connie. Elle sounds good, next time try Sarah, I love that name. Amati is a good name, but that has been taken,
administrator
What about Molly? That's a pretty generic name. You know, like Obla-di, obla-da, that Molly? Or Jane. I don't think she's used Jane yet. How about Jane Payne? Hee hee! So we know Connie/Elle/Susan are one in the same...when is she going to take the point and get some professional help? IMHO
Kabal
Sarah Jane is a nice name, there is a cool song by Genesis," Me and Sarah Jane", I love that tune. I love the name Priscilla. Penelope is a great one too, as is Marlene. Carmen, Margo and Elaine are great names too. As a man,if I fake my death, I would like to be Tucker, Tristan, Alexander, or Tiberius. Tiberius would be an awesome name, I would love that. Kabal is a boring name, everybody is named Kabal: Kabal Jones, Kabal Smith, etc. Tiberius would be awesome. Sincerely, Tiberius
administrator
You know, I've never faked my death before, but that would sure be a neat way to get out of paying my bills, now wouldn't it? Hmm...Tiberius is ok, but it rhymes with too many words (not serious, impervious, treacherous). You wanna have a name that doesn't rhyme with anything. Like Orange. Now that's a name! Hey Gang, what's YOUR FAVORITE NAME? And why?
Stephen
One of the better chuckles in WF Buckley's "Saving the Queen" was about a college roommate who invested in a "DECEASED-- RETURN TO SENDER" stamp. Apparently did wonders for his cash flow.
administrator
Where can I get one of those stamps?
xania
I don't know why, but I'm rather partial to the floral names. I think that Agapanthus could work rather well, don't you?
Kabal
Mary Jane is good, because of the pot stuff. Tarpley is a good name too. Menuhin is a great name, although I would go with somebody more obscure, like Auer, Carl Flesch, etc. When I fake my death, I wanna be Buck Nekkid, Hoo-flung-poo or Ivan Turnyurhedankoff. If you have to pick a fake name, go for the laughs.
sunnybear
Pretty Funny.. I saw a reference of postings similar to this topic and decided to check it out...I ventured over to the soapbox and found the thread on kabals site is locked for no real apparent reason, so now he comes here for some entertainment. It's locked because Connie Sunday isn't dead. Bit silly to be posting condolences for a person that's alive. Would you like it unlocked so you may post your condolences? I'm sure Connie has been enjoying reading them. PS: Kabal can unlock the thread anytime he likes.
Guy_Gallo
I think, GV, the question here wasn't why is a thread that says CS is dead locked, but why is a thread that suggests this was a faked death locked. The problem is Kabal also deleted his last post in that thread which explained why he was locking it. As it stands it goes from Kabal's condolence initiating note to a few suspect rejoinders to locked. Confusion is undestandable if you didn't see Kabal's final comment. Kabal, I guess you deleted that last post for a reason, so I'm probably wasting my time here, but I confess to some curiosity in the matter. (Actually, I find the whole CS saga to be fascinating.) Is there anything more to the thread locking than what GV said...that you'd feel okay telling us about?
Kabal
StringDad, I deleted the post because I thought it was mean on my part. The thread is now unlocked, people may post away. To be honest, I felt very foolish, which is why I locked the thread. I got an email saying Ms. Sunday had passed away, it didnt come from Maestronet or my board. I was extremely sad, even though Connie has been hard to deal with. I personally was very sad that somebody so young, with a love of music, could be gone. Now that I know it was a scam, I feel dumb, embarrassed, and stupid that I announced it on my board. Connie and I were friends at one point. She gave me a lot of advice and info about HTML and websites. I was honestly blown away when I heard about her death, I kid you not, I shed a tear, many. I was truly sad when I heard this, a very bright woman who is about my age. We have a lot of mutual friends together. I was obviously very angry when I found out it wasnt true. For the record, I apologize to Ms. Sunday for posting here.I am not entertained, I am sad. Connie has a lot to offer, I just hope that she stays well. Did you see Connie's file? http://www.geocities.com/sunmusicstrings/policies.html PS can we please leave Connie alone, its making me sick with all the comments. StringDad
Thanks, Kabal. Sorry to pry. No, I don't suppose you were entertained given the personal contact you'd had with her. I was, in my own way, saddened when I heard the news as well -- and incredibly surprised to discover what now appears to be the truth. I had no real inkling of her long and distinguished Internet history. And I'm not "entertained" either, really, but interested in a tangle of ways -- part admittedly in a not-admirable wide-eyed rubbernecking/watching a trainwreck kind of way, but part sympathetically and sadly, too. There's also part of me that is fascinated on a deeper human level...in the ways a personality is revealed...in the variety of on-screen personae she created...the quite apparent love of music and passion for sharing that love...the sudden bursts of anger and nastiness... ...I guess I'm also glad no one (seems to have) died. Another part of me wishes we could all -- Connie as well -- make light of the whole affair; no one died, it's the Internet and all and it's not "real" etc. etc...... but I'm not sure I buy that...it is the internet, true, but that doesn't mean feelings weren't hurt when Connie attacked, or when people who tried to like her/liked her were told that she had died...CS didn't do it to be funny...and it wasn't funny. I'm not sure what it was.
StringDad
Well, I never actually left. I like to think of myself as bi-forum. As for Elle's/CS's policy statement, in an effort to be helpful, I suggest that it is too long and not sufficiently focused. The first point, for instance, should be deleted, IMHO. As for your request re CS, point taken.

Gray Violiner
Quote: PS can we please leave Connie alone, its making me sick with all the comments. If you wish to be indignant, you are directing your anger at the wrong people. Connie created this controversy all on her own (with the help of her able alter-screen names: cellosusan, SunMusicStrings, EastMountainsMusic, Elle Matthews and an assortment of others too long to list). Perhaps it is worth a revisit to the "Best Wishes to Connie" thread where "SunMusicStrings" announced Connie had died. Connie Sunday has appallingly used and abused the compassion of a lot of decent, caring people in this incredibly disgusting act of her's. Perhaps I'm missing something, but that is what I find sickening.

I think that Agapanthus could work rather well, don't you? Agapanthus, now that's a name! Some of the Lord of the Rings names are pretty cool. I attended music summer camp with a family from Keene, NH that had named all their kids with Gaelic names similar to the LOR names: Rohan, Gadagin, Probyn to name a few. They're all pro musicians now. I think Rohan (Gregory) is with the BSO and I know Probyn plays in the Brian Wilson band out in CA. Anyway I think those names are cool. What about Aragorn, or Gimli? Or Legolas...

I don't suspect that she wants to be left alone or she wouldn't have reincarnated. Lying about one's own death or the death of another is reprehensible behavior.
