According to the Grunke book, Gustav Prager (1866-1953) learned bow making from his father, Friedrich Wilhelm P. He established his own workshop in 1893 near Markneukirchen. His bows were considered so good that, during his working life, they were illegally copied with a fake stamp. One of his sons, Curt P. (1897-1973), took over his workshop and continued using his father's name and stamp into old age.
