Rich
Is there someone in Canada who is really good repairing bows?
liana
since you're in alberta, you could always try roy quade in calgary... he's out of town right now (i tried calling him the other day about buying a bow), and i'm not sure if he'll repair bows that aren't his own, but it's worth a shot. he certainly knows what he's doing. -liana
deStaunton
Stephen Marvin is very good - he studied with Salchow in NYC.A Google search will take you to him - good luck.BTW, what's wrong with your bow?
Rich
It has a warp to the sice and silver windings coming off. The warp is a bit more pronounced since the last rehair, and the windings need to be replaced keeping the same weight.
Jeffrey Holmes
Especially if the bow requires straightening, I second Mr. Quade as well as adding Mr. Malo in Montreal and Jack LaVojia (sp?) in Ottawa to the list if you're getting the work done in Canada. Todd French
I will third the vote for Roy Quade - I've seen some really extraordinary frog work that he has done (mostly copies of rare frogs of Tourte and Peccatte to preserve the originals) and his work is simply fantastic. If he will work on your bow affordably, I'd definitely take it to him.
administrator
I highly recommend Serge or Andree at Wilder & Davis in Montreal.
