  1. Does anyone out there in internetland recognize this music or is it just a cello improv? I’d like to find the sheet music if possible. Oh, and the fellow (Vincent) is super funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUaZSVcD7UI&lc=z223vnjzusbjep0rz04t1aokgnmubovgd2klfwjadlx4bk0h00410
  2. I would like to share a new free sheet music website. https://music.kemancilar.net You can find a variety of music for violin such as classical, pop, movie&series, orchestral excerpts as well as guitar, ukulele, piano, free gig music.
  3. Hi everyone, How are various bow strokes like spiccato and ricochet indicated in sheet music? Are these strokes even indicated or does the performer just add them? I'm composing stuff for strings and would like some help. Thank you.
  4. What is your sheet music preferences? I'll try a poll too... I must be totally old school. I prefer sturdy off-white paper with dark black ink...spaced enough so the notes don't run together in one black blob... Hence, I prefer music printed by a printing house. If I'm actually going to work on something for any length of time I will buy a copy of the music. However, I do photocopy quartet music - mostly to ensure the original score stays intact...and that it is available should members leave and new members join - and not return the music. I do use free music (IMSLP is a great site) to look through material, but I find those photocopies especially frustrating since the scans are often not quite right to begin with...and visual quality is lost. I can't for the life of me read from a computer screen (such as an iPad)...
  5. Hi all, I want to get my kids excited about playing the violin, it's summer and practicing the classics seems like a chore and boring to them. I am looking for suggestions where I can find some video game (mario, halo, starwars etc.) or rock (led zepplin, pink floid, doors, ozzy, metallica, dio, foo fighters etc.) sheet music for free. All suggestions welcome!
  6. Does anyone perhaps have this sheet music, for viola, in the alto clef? I can only find versions in Treble and Bass clef, and unfortunately even though I can read both on the corrosponding instruments like Piano and Violin, I cannot put the fingers to the notes when playing the notes written in those clefs while playing viola. It was hard enough having to learn the alto clef, but now having to read Treble and Bass and Alto when playing viola seems a BIT harsh. Thank you.
  7. New recording of music for quartet of flute and strings, "Sailing!" https://soundcloud.com/williamcopper As in earlier posts, the individual parts are given specific intonation instructions, though in this simple piece it probably isn't even necessary. William Copper
