Dear Maestroneters, a student of mine bought a 3/4 bow that had been with the previous owner for 60 years. We would like to try to identify it, it only has france written on it and it looks quite old. What would be its value to you? I have a comparison video between it and a 4/4 carbon fiber bow and a 4/4 wooden bow. Carbon bow between 256BRL to 400BRL(45$ to 70$) for us it's intermediate begginer bow. Wooden bow is from Massaranduba wood 58$(Brazilian Redwood or Bulletwood) also a intermediate begginer bow. The link for the video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ac7TBhyiR52iuTTb7 the video its here now, with english subtitles(would be easier recorded in english but ive forgotten) Comparativo entre 3 arcos.mp4

Bromptons have just posted their highlight video clips for their upcoming sale. I have not had time to watch/listen yet, but looks to be a pleasant diversion https://www.bromptons.co/news/watch-corina-belcea-claire-wells-eirian-lewis-and-taro-takeuchi-play-highlights-from-our-october-sale.html

I am in need of a set of instructions or preferably a video on the set up of the Juzek Cello Peg Shaper. Mine was working fine and mid way through the 3rd peg it simply quit cutting? I see you can move the cutting blade, and also move the top adjusting housing taper and move left to right. I have tried my best and simply can not get it to cut. Thank you, Greg

Hi Everyone On the weekend I was able to catch, at the wee hours of the morning, on PBS the video documentary "Violin Masters: Two Gentlemen of Cremona". I thought that others should keep an eye on the PBS station in their area for a broadcast, since the video became available to PBS on May 1st of this year. www.pbs.org/arts/exhibit/violin-masters Some of the folks in this video post here at Maestronet, so I would like to say Thanks! I really enjoyed this video, just wish it was longer !!! Oh should mention that it is available for sale on DVD from PBS or Amazon etc.
