The Canadian Association of Violin and Bow Makers is presenting an exhibition of violins, violas, cellos, bass & bows in Montreal on Saturday, October 28th. The exhibition will take place in the Salle de Concert du Conservatoire de Montréal, 4750 avenue Henri-Julien, Montréal. (posters below) String players looking for instruments or bows or just curious can visit the exhibition and take the opportunity to try a number of instruments. There will be 28 violin & bow makers from around Canada. Arrangements to further try instruments or bows further after the exhibition can be made and many of which will be consignment with Wilder & Davis Inc. At the exhibition there will be 2 free concerts in the afternoon, including musicians from Collectif9 at 2pm and violinist Kerson Leong at 5pm. (free admission) Plus a silent auction in the morning finishing at 1pm, which will includes strings from Pirastro. fu
