Hello! This violin is the one I currently play on the daily, and it has been in the family for quite some time. Nobody seems to quite know where it came from and was wondering if there was any chance it might be authentic. Apologies for my poor photogaphy skills. In order to reduce glare off the violin I took most of he photos in a darker enviornment with a higher brightness, which is why the colors are look off to me. It's much more saturated and richer in person- the second photo of the front and back is a better reperesentation of that. Thank you all!

Hello! I recently purchased a violin from an estate sale & I was wondering if you could help me identify it’s age & if it’s a Stainer copy. The violin was repaired in 1919, so I don’t believe that it’s a German factory copy from the late 1800s or early 1900s, however I could be wrong. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hello! I was looking at my grandmothers violin, which was her grandfathers who died in 1951. Inside the violin is a label that says: jacobus stainer in absam prope oenipontum 1665 I was wondering how I can tell if it is an original or a remake? I is broken and needs to be restrung, it has the word Stainer imprinted on the back, close to the neck. And if is in an original how much would it be worth?? Thanks!!
