  1. I've pretty much got my wire wrappings down (bows) to a comfort level, but I'm wanting to do some of my stock bows in the "Whalebone" type (imitation, plastic etc) on some. I don't know how and can't find anything on the net showing. Does anyone know of a good tutorial, or can take a pic of a page showing the way to start/end it? jeff

  3. Hi guys - section leader here for a London non-pro orchestra that has programmed the Kodály next concert. Any idea how to lead a section to play the passage at 487 well? Syncopations are quite quick...
  4. Hi all. Being fairly isolated from what other makers are doing, my dear husband has asked me to ask on here about what it is you do antiquing-wise, and why. European makers, is it easier to sell a fiddle that looks old? I don't mean those making bench copies, since that's a completely different endeavor than just trying to create an old-looking painting on a violin. Curious about all perspectives on antiquing, or to hear from those who renounce the trend. If that's what's going on...I mean, if 200+ years of something can be just a trend. But then, it may be: men were wearing wigs for longer than that.
