Alright here is some context. A few years back when my orchestra director was first hired, he was given an old cello by the drama department after it was found in the back of the stage. The cello was never inspected because my director thought it was a cheap student cello or something. Anyway the cello I am currently using is being repaired after a band kid kicked my cello and broke the bridge, so I picked up the cello that was found in the drama department thinking I could use it until my cello is done with repairs. The cello found in the drama department was an absolute wreck. Missing bridge, soundpost, tailpiece, a bunch of open seams along the sides and a crack down the middle. I found the name of (I'm assuming) the person who made the cello, and i was wondering if it was worth bringing to a luthier to see if restoring it is a possibility.

Hi I have this cello I bought in 2013 for $150NZD. I think the strings are a bit too high, 8mm on the A string and 10mm on the C string, and I was thinking of getting the bridge made a bit lower, also because the bridge doesn't seem to fit the cello properly. but then I noticed the back is starting to come off and will need fixing. Does anyone know what kind of cello it is and if it would worth fixing? I know it's a cheap one, the fingerboard isn't ebony but the purfling is real. Thanks!
