I've had this idea , and ran it by Jeff, within the vein of networking , paying it forward, saying thank you , and good old fashioned fun, We have an opportunity here ,come September , to accomplish all four , MY idea .... and why , as Maestroneter's I think that it's save to say that we have all benefited so much from the dialogue, sociability and great threads ,such as .big bass blog,to amateur repair,.from tuning pegs to tailpieces end pins to end blocks and whatever the heck is is that Burgess is talking about, we got it all , just gotta keep looking for the pony...... ... .we could collectively make donations in the name of MN to the vsa auction , there will be a lot of people a lot of people who will hear the name and see the community...I think we would see many new members here after such a thing, as well as a substantial boost to VSA scollorships... I have a few tools I'm going to give to auction, , my question is , is any one else interested in such a thing?

First of all, hello to everybody, I'm new here on maestronet, I have been a lont-time lurker, and I finally have something to post about. I have currently taken this violin out on a 1-week trial: http://aukro.cz/stare-housle-i3139823955.html?source=oo The price is roughly USD$500 (I have already paid it, but have been given a 1 week return period). The violin is unlabelled, but as you can see on the photos, it has "cm" stamped on the back right below the neck. The scroll is fluted all the way, the instrument seems to have its corner blocks, real purfling, etc. Anyways, me being no expert on violin construction, I'd sure like to see what the members on this forum think. Is it factory-made, workshop, handmade? And of, course, is $500 a good deal on this instrument? If necessary I'm willing to upload more detailed photos than those on the auction website. Thanks in advance for your answers...
