I work in a music store and was recently presented with four violins of varying quality all of which work fine for our rental program. However, one in particular caught my attention, not because I know anything about violins (which I don't) but below the Kloz label is an additional label stating that the violin was "restored" in 1970. So, it's probably already 50 years old, but could it be real? I have no idea, so I now turn to the experts for help. Here are some pics as well... Not great ones but perhaps a start. I understand that it is probably impossible to tell for sure if it's real, but hoping that there will be signs that it is a fake and I can stop spending all the money I would make if it's real! Thanks all for any help/advise you may be able to give. Larry

I have a viola labeled as a Stefano Scarampella. I assume it has been mislabeled but curious what people think.

I have a 4/4 violin with a label that reads, "Joh.Bapt.Schweitzer fecit ad forman Antonii Stradiuarii Pestini 18__" ~ it is dark brown in color and looks very old. It also has a very skinny neck. I can't upload pictures/don't know how - and i know the lack of pictures make it hard to really tell anything but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was told that it has a $5000 value but I personally would like to know if it is real or a copy
