In California, if both parties agree to mediation, under court supervision, tbh, and then one party reneges, the aggrieved party may go to court to enforce the agreement. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/25/arts/music/violin-restitution-germany.html

I have a 2008 Alois Sandner Model #8225 cello that I bought a few years ago at Ifshin. I'm trying to ID it so that I can resell it. I would appreciate any help with this! Thank you so much! (Yes, one of the strings has broken so I'd need to get it restrung)

Hi again to all. Now I have this one violin and I want to know your opinions. It has 4 blocks, and the top inside is like a field of cleats. It looks like the border of the top has been remade inside. The label: Johann Christoph Leidolff / Lauten und Geigenmacher / In Wienn 17(35) Thank you all

Where would you say this violin originated? (Neither the pictures nor the violin belongs to me. It is a violin for sale, and the owner believes it to be of Italian/French origin, and definitely not cottage industry. ) It bears a label "Hirish" inside apparently.

Does anybody know something about this "apocryphic" maker? http://tarisio.com/pages/auction/auction_item.php?csid=2197864448&cpid=3198255104 I know this name only from Mirecourt labels, the violin itself doesn't look like "anything I know", but the bidding is exorbitant.
