  1. I am so sorry for coming here, because I didn't know maestronet was a boys club. So sorry didn't mean to interrupt the thing you got going with each other.
  2. I think your pride has blinded you. You might need to seek repentance with Jesus Christ about it. It's obvious to me that most of the evaluations and statement spoken by you people are wrong. I am not talking about my posts, but about everyone else's post. It looks like you do this for the purpose of causing them damage. If anyone is dishonest it's you.
  3. By sound, I certainly have heard the difference from a cheap carbon fiber or $40.00 brazil wood stick. Compared to something like a 1,000 pernambuco.
  4. See the violin bow, it looks like it has silver winding on it. So I picked it up. The seller takes returns at shipping cost of buyer, so if the bow don't sound right I will return it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/396984639234
  5. I believe I am giving the violin honest price tag. Not attempting to rip anyone off with fake stuff.
  6. I am going to try 500 USD and see if anyone will bid on it. I think a problem I am facing with eBay, is all the rip offs that take place. eBay has reputation for having over 70% of the sellers, selling crap. But I am serious, if you went to the shop for this violin you could end up paying $1,000.00. There is a local violin shop I will try too.
  7. The seller refunded the money from the bow. I guess it would be an ok investment if I knew how to fix those.
  8. Do you think I could get bids for it if I started it at $600.00 + shipping on eBay?
  9. You might be right. I don't have much experience selling the violin. I don't think it's not too bad of a player. The appraisal said it's an advanced violin, but not professional.
  10. The appraisal for the violin from valuemystuff.com came in. Estimated auction 600-1,000 USD with 2.5k insurance.
  11. @GeorgeH I think this is good idea and I have made the request. The repairs are going to cost more than the bow is worth it seems.
  12. ugh, I was hoping to get a pernambuco. I didn't notice the plate. Maybe the Artino Aria coming in the mail tomorrow will make me feel better. It will be my first bow of good quality. Everything else has always been so cheap. fiddlerman hybrid, fiddlerman sandalwood, fiddlerman pernambuco, carbon fiber fiddlerman. Yita bows, I had a good brown pernambuco (student level) bow from a company called wingabow. But the company disappeared. For $100.00 USD it was the best bow at this price. D.Pecatte copy. Used to be on amazon. It was sold next to the vingabow. And I tried a vingabow for more, but the wingabow was much better.
  13. https://www.ebay.com/itm/326489881184 Is it real pernambuco? Looks like it to me. Needs hair and grip.
  14. I just finished giving the Eduard Riechert 1913 a full setup. I should have gotten Tonica strings, or even D'addario Pro'Arte. With the Thomistik Alpahque it sounds darkish and little bit flat. I hope to get an Artino Aria bow in the coming week, and I will see how it sounds then. Right now I am using a snake wood chinese bow, baroque.
  15. My measurements puts the arm length, from the neck to the center of the hand at 23"/23.5". Now on the chart this means I should use a 4/4 violin. But what do you think about a 7/8 or 3/4 violin? Do you think I would be better playing the smaller fiddle? Or am I just blessed in that, I can play either? On this topic I seen a professional fiddler play a very small violin, a strad. He was on stage on T.V. I have a 3/4 violin I want to give it a setup and try it. But I have to wait before I can even order the parts needed. I looked to see if there was a 7/8 body I could get from eBay, but there is scarce number of them. About the 7/8 and 3/4 sizes. Am I correct that they are same size, but 7/8 has bigger body?
