  2. I don’t know if you guys have experienced this or already talked about it, but it got me thinking about the transversal shape of the f-holes. I know the standard is usually something like / \ with around 15 to 30°. But what if different shapes or curves were used? Is there any school that teaches alternative designs? I wish I had the resources to explore that. My violin no longer has the original cut shape, but it’s very amateur. So i didnt get to much difference I’m sorry if this is a secret — it doesn’t seem like you guys keep things like that hidden.
  3. yeah i agree with you The left F hole looks strange
  4. First im sorry about the photos its the only ones provided by the auction house. But i would like to know any information about this and its value at most. The information provided by the house: "Antique violin crafted from fine hardwood, featuring beautiful hand-finished workmanship and an aged patina that highlights its authenticity. The body has a classic shape with harmonious curves and a top in an amber-brown tone, showing the delicate grain of the wood. It includes ebony pegs and tailpiece, as well as the original wooden bow with natural hair. Comes with bow. Length: 60 cm." Actual price: 30 usd
  5. Made directly from Luthiers Don't remember find for less than 1000usd, being generous here. Only factory-made ones, or those from Chinese workshops, remain. For a place where the The minimum wage its less than 300 USD, the music people struggle a bit. From Luthier to musicians.
  6. That's sad but I understand Great violins by the way Here in Brazil old violins are more valuable, so it's difficult to get one for 100usd
  7. I got more photos of the instrument Still a gianinni? For others, this violin it's Assigned to Ivo incisi, son of Italians who stayed in Brazil What should be the fair price for this instrument? (All other in the market, assumed to be from Incisi, it's about 1000usd to 1500usd)
  8. I wouldnt imagine that. Old giannini was really different. 7k for a case, would hope to come made of gold.
  9. oh i can some thats cool, dindt know that Since we are here, does it have a violin in auction of Ivo incisi for 7000 reais(1310usd ish) think it's a fair price? https://www.claudiofirminoleiloeiro.com.br/peca.asp?ID=26413489
  10. Quanto o senhor avaliaria este instrumento?
  11. I never seen any Giannini like that. How do you came to this conclusion?
  12. thats sad because i paid around 100 usd por it, but didnt know that it was 3/4. i would hope to sell it for 400usd at least but i dont know anymore
  13. whats means MK? About the varnish i took a detail video
  14. i dont know what lob means But the body lengh its about 335mm fingerboard 256mm string lengh 303 mm
  15. Hello guys I've just bought a violin from Auction but didn't came with label or any information. I would like to know, if it possible, maybe what inspiration of the author or what school. What price range would be worth. The bridge and strings are cheap Just the e string it's vision the other it's Mauro Calixto. The bridge isn't adjusted, I've placed just to play I will adjust in the future. The real colors its more to yellow and brown, the red in the photos its was added by my camera. The violin it's a little bit smaller than a 4/4, I don't know if it's 3/4 or 7/8. https://youtu.be/_jLNKxWhOV8
