I just returned to this forum after an absence of over a decade, and was pleased to see Andrew Victor still offering the same excellent advice on strings that he was giving twenty years ago — until I realized that his advice was from twenty years ago, and Robbie had resurrected an ancient thread. It still bears repeating: the same strings on different instruments will give results that differ in unpredictable ways.
