  1. I pulled the longest and the shortest and 2 random pieces from the group and have 2 individual blanks cut. I planed a very small amount off the the fourth piece from the left in attempt to show grain. from the left they are: 1) 40 1/4” x 2 1/4” x1/2” weighs 28.7 oz lutchi 4951 2) 35” x 1 7/8” x 1/2” weighs 18.2oz lutchi 5689 3) 33 1/2” x 2” x 1/2” weighs 21.1 oz lutchi 52?? 4) 37” x 2” x 1/2” weighs 23.3 oz lutchi 5260 Both of the blanks are 30 1/2” and weigh 4.8 and 4.5 oz Message me for my contact info if interested im not trying to make a sales pitch as it is what is. Dad is 88 and was lucky enough to buy this wood while it was available. I can’t say he has retired because he has barely slowed down but he’s no longer making bows. There’s approximately enough for 90 bows
  2. Dad is focusing his talents on other instruments and has a prized selection of pernambuco for sale. He has receipts pre- CITES. He bought this in 2002 from a supplier in California. I’m having a hard time getting good pictures of the grain so let me know if I need to get my other camera out. I might need to cut a thin piece off due to the surface being to dark for it to show. He has enough for approximately 90 bows. Most of it is in pieces that would make 3 bows. For what it’s worth I have Lutchi numbers. This is high quality wood that at least one well known retired US bow maker commented was the best he’s seen. I am looking for offers but don’t want to have to sell this by each individual piece so I am willing to work with someone so that they don’t feel they have to take a gamble. I am located in Michigan but could maybe sell a couple of pieces to someone and ship it to them and once they have the chance to see for themselves that this is truly the good stuff we could proceed with the rest of the wood. I can guarantee any bow maker would be thrilled with this wood and it’s time to pass it on. serious offers only please i am only posting 2 pictures but will post more after I make sure my files are not to large
