  1. Interesting, thank you! Would this warrant an appraisal or is there a way to determine it’s approximate value?
  2. I recently found a violin without a label and I was wondering if anyone could help me identify it. Any details would be appreciated! I have attached the photos, let me know if you need any other photos! Thank you all in advance!
  3. Hey everyone, I recently bought an antique violin. Through some google searching I have found out that it was made by William Conant sometime in the mid 1800's. At the base of the body near the saddle there is a number which appears to be 307 and on the inside there is a label. On the bottom of the bridge there is the name "Hawley". I do not appreciate any cracks in the wood and it appears to be solid, there are some cosmetic scratches and chips. I do not know much about violins and I am looking to sell the violin so any information or advice on how to go about getting it appraised, repaired and sold would be appreciated. I live in upstate New York near Albany if that matters. Also included was a bow and case. I was unable to find any markings on the bow but I will attach pictures.
