  1. Yes, you can better buy a trash from some maestronet members with violin shops. I saw a lot of trash (bad quality mirecourt and mittenwald instruments) for the price you paid in ebay and up to 10k in online shops or violin makers. Dear Pearl, please understand, everybody who is sitting here like Martin 24/7 has his own strategy. Or do you think the people have too much time to spend it in forum like this one?

  3. Pevere violins. feel a difference http://postimg.org/gallery/37bjwqjjg/
  4. good german violin after roth, but not roth. price 1-2 thousand pounds
  5. All violins you buy from ebay or luthiers or auction houses should be examined carefully and critically. There are only fakes on the market. With a lot of famous names like Pressenda, Rocca, Poggi, Guarneri, Landolfi etc. Sometimes i look to an old violin in London (i will not let you know the name of auction house) and think... how it comes that this piece of sh... sold like for example italian violin by landolfi. If you have auctions with no reserve you can buy for honest prices. In case instruments have estimate price you should be sure - you will never sell for the same price. The best way you fly to the seller/auction house/liuthier and check violins personally.
