Murat Ufuk Güler was born in 1976 in İzmir.
In 1995, he entered Ege University Turkish Music State Conservatory Instrument Making department where he graduated in 2001. Besides violin and viola, Güler made various Turkish musical instruments and guitars during his education at Strings Art Major. He started bow making in 2005 by attending Emilio Slaviero's workshop in Italy. Güler realized bow making and restoration projects with Slaviero up to 2013. Afterwards he continued his studies at Gilles Duhaut's workshop in France between 2013 and 2015.
Alongside his prelector position at Dokuz Eylül University and phd at Ege University Social Sciences Institute, Güler continues bow making and his academic studies.
M. Ufuk Güler is the initiator in co-operatin with Darling Publications of the 1st Izmir Violin and Bow Making Workshop&Exhibition, inviting from France Nicolas Gilles and Wolfram Neureither from Montpellier, Boris Fritsch, Paris and Josef P. Gabriel, Erlangen (Germany).
