  1. I use an Amazon dot run through a 'conventional' system (internet music, news etc) + bluetooth connection through the dot to the phone when needed to play the same track 57 times over.
  2. Possibly, I wasn't there. Here is the front - very different treatment of the fluting.
  3. Jerry's Artarama (Raleigh) -> Japanese handmade papers etc
  4. oops. Best viewed on Keyboard for sensitive souls on Fingerboard.
  5. An extraordinary performance of the Beethoven 4th Concerto by Eric Lu. Listened to it live and I am still sitting in disbelief at such a mature performance from someone in his early 20's. https://leedspiano2018.medici.tv/replay/final-with-eric-lu/
  6. Wouldn't you expect to see 'snot trails' in bigleaf wood? Sugar, for me.
  7. If you use the neck button chamfer to create 2 tiny triangles where it intersects the chamfer of the back It will help define the shape of the button.
  8. I was taught by Juliet and have a signed copy. At the time, she used a propolis-based spirit varnish that was difficult to use as a beginner. I think the varnish chapter may have been co-written with her son. I agree with the earlier assessments.
  9. The white of the purfling comes though rather starkly. Brushing a water-based stain after gluing would make it less conspicuous.
  10. Are you able to print-to-file a whole thread as a single operation without multiple cut-pastes?
  11. I have not been able to download a thread in its entirety for some years now. Copy-paste across pages is so '20th Century'...and a pain in the butt.
  12. This is the Viotti Stard in the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Why is Melvin's comment being ignored?
  14. I have been traveling and miss some stuff. Within the 107 pages, which "it" are you referring to?
  15. Benedict's test for carbohydrate.
  16. Engelmann blonde vs Sitka brunette. They both emit a lovely rustle when stroked. Different density, so the numbers may decide which one wins this round.
  17. I may have found a match for you. Blonde or brunette? Ignore the zits - in 300 years folks will say the rough work has a certain 'charm'.
  18. David Rivinus - viola maker, not armchair theorist.
