  1. Thanks for your comments. I live in a small city with only one quality violin dealer. In my price range ($1,000-$1,500), is it worth trying out violins from Shar or Southwest Strings?
  2. I am in the market for a violin upgrade and am looking to spend $1,000-$1,500. I tried out a violin made by a G. Vasile in Romania. It is a handcrafted instrument. I was pleased with the sound, but would like to know more about the reputation of this instrument. I would appreciate any comments, advice.
  3. I am looking for a piece of music for my 8 year old daughter who is learning the violin. The music I am looking for is Stepping stones. Please could you see if there is a downloadable piece. Thank you.
  4. I checked the Coda Bow site. They do sell cello bows for $995. The URL is http://www.codabow.com/ It is a graphite/composite, but the web site tells all about it. Coda Bow Home Page
  5. I'm a violinist myself, but I "believe" the Coda Bows are now available for cellos, violas and basses. I'm not too terribly familiar with the Coda Bows as far as their make up. I only know it's not wood. There are others who will certainly offer a bit more insight into the Coda Bows. I believe they have a web site too. I can look it up and get back to the board if so.
